A Typical Tuesday
Tuesday, March 23, 2010 11:59 AM
Went to watch How to train your Dragon 3D with darling yesterday. It was an awesome movie! Much better than Alice in the Wonderland 3D. The storyline, the actions, the humour in the show and everything else. It was splendid! 4 out of 5 popcorns! ((: Even darling also agreed! (: Go catch it if you have the time. Highly recommended by me! :D I so feel like watching again =/
Before the movie, we went to have our dinner at Orchard Central, Ootoya. Yea yea, went there again. But the fact is, that the foods served there are really delicious! Hence brought darling over to try. Actually we wanted to have waraku, but since Ootoya is a better choice so we went (: It was darling's treat! Heh heh!
Had my usual - Deep fried chicken with leek sauce and vegetables.
I really love the potatoe! It's very tasty! Wonder if they can teach me..
Tried the seaweed rice this round. Indeed! It tasted so much better than white rice.
Appetizer.
Recommended darling what daryl had the other day - Charboiled Steak.
It's really good! I tried myself too!
Despite having great foods in front of us, we had a great tough time during dinner as our nose kept running! Yeah, both of us fell sick ): Subsequently, both of us had fever when we got home. Or rather, the body aches already started when we finished our movie. But I really appreciated that in order to cheer me up, he still surprised me by bringing me over to sembawang park. He knows I like to listen to the sea whenever I am down.
Talking bout foods, my craving list are starting all over again.
I miss having this taiwanese food in Tampines Mall ):
This in Xin Wang - Mee Hoon in Papaya and corn soup.
This in RamenPlay at Somerset 313.
This in Bugis, Phin's Steakhouse.
Waffles with ice-cream in Gelare.
Ice-cream with the junks at Swensens!
J.CO's chocolate mint beverage..
Roasted duck with Sour Plum from Asian Kitchen.
Salad Youtiao from Asian Kitchen too!
Ipoh Hor Fun in Ipoh!! Oh man!! *drooling over it*
This dessert in Ipoh too!! Oh goshh!!
Ahhhhh! I am starting to feel extremely hungry!! )): Then now, I am craving for...
Egg Muffin with iced Milo from Macdonalds..
And also the breakfast set from South Canteen.
Oh mannnn!! This is so outrageous!! I need to stop looking at them all now. I need to head to bed, seriously!! But before I go, I was sorting out the photo folders on my laptop and I found this. Be prepare! Not for the weak hearts! Taken on somewhere near Halloween 3years ago...
Guess who is this? HAHAHAHAHA!!
The 'victim', please do not laugh at yourself! LOL!! It set me burst out laughing tooo!! 'Victim', do you want to reveal yourself? If you response do this, I know you're reading my blog! HAHAHAHA!
`It's a tough decision I gonna and have to make.

10 habits of happy couples
Tuesday, February 23, 2010 1:30 AM
Are you looking for ways to improve your relationship with your spouse? Here are a few healthy habits of happy couples, according to the Times of India.
#1 Go to bed at the same time
Remember the early days of your relationship when you couldn’t wait to get into bed with each other to make love? Happy couples resist the temptation to go to bed at different times. They go to bed at the same time, even if one wakes up later to do things while their partner sleeps.
#2 Cultivate common interests
After the passion simmers, it is common to realise that you have few interests in common. Try to home in on those common interests and do things together and enjoy each other's company at the same time. Don’t underestimate the importance of couple activities, however few they are.
If common interests are absent, happy couples take time to develop them. But be sure to cultivate interests of your own; this will make you more interesting to your mate and prevent you from appearing too dependent.
#3 Walk hand in hand or side by side
Rather than one partner lagging or dragging behind the other, happy couples walk comfortably hand in hand or side by side. They know it’s more important to be with their partner than to see the sights along the way.
#4 Make trust and forgiveness a default mode
Whenever there is a misunderstanding or when two cannot agree on an issue, do you bear grudges and build up ammunition against each other?
Refrain from doing that as it only makes solving problems difficult.
If a disagreement or an argument cannot be resolved, happy couples default to trusting and forgiving and reset the relationship from there, instead of keeping count of faults.
#5 Focus more on what your partner does right than what he or she does wrong
If you look for things your partner does wrong, you can always find something. If you look for what he or she does right, you can always find something, too. It all depends on what you want to look out for and focus on. Happy couples accentuate the positive and affirm that in each other.
#6 Hug each other as soon as you see each other after work
Our skin has a memory of “good touch” (loved), “bad touch” (abused) and “no touch” (neglected).
Couples who say hello with a hug keep their skin bathed in the “good touch” can inoculate your spirit against anonymity in the world. One is reassured of love and belonging.
#7 Say “I love you” and “Have a good day” every morning
This is a great way to buy some patience and tolerance as each partner sets out each day to battle traffic jams, long lines and other annoyances.
#8 Say “Good night” every night, regardless of how you feel
This tells your partner that, regardless of how upset you are with him or her, you still want to be in the relationship. It says that what you and your partner have is bigger than any single upsetting incident.
#9 Do a “weather” check during the day
Call your partner at home or at work to see how his or her day is going. This is a great way to adjust expectations so that you’re more in sync when you connect after work. For instance, if your partner is having a lousy day, it might be unreasonable to expect him or her to be enthusiastic about something good that happened to you.
#10 Be proud to be seen with your partner
Happy couples are pleased to be seen together and are often in some kind of affectionate contact - hand on hand or hand on shoulder or back. They are not showing off but rather just saying that they belong with each other.
The worst thing to do is to forget to introduce your partner when you bump into a friend or colleague when you're out about town. This sends the wrong signal to your partner that he is not your significant other and you are embarrassed to show him or her off to others.
Happy couples have different habits than unhappy couples.
A habit is a discrete behaviour that you do automatically and that takes little effort to maintain. All it takes is 21 days of daily repetition of a new behaviour so that it becomes a habit. So select one of the behaviours in the list above to work on proactively for 21 days to cultivate a habit that will make you happier as a couple.
And if you fall off the wagon, don’t despair, just apologise to your partner, ask their forgiveness and recommit yourself to getting back in the habit.

Children!
Friday, December 18, 2009 5:12 PM
On my way to work this morning, i saw this extremely adorable little boy. He has got blond hair and probably blue eyes. Heh heh! Okay! That's not the point. The point is i find that, kids are very naive. The way they observe the surroundings or things are facinating! They observed with their minds and expressions full of curiosity. And they will just keep asking questions non stop.
So this little ang moh boy was with his grandfather(i suppose). We were on the platform waiting for train to come. Then he was looking at it and kept pointing towards it. His grandfather was holding onto his hands, making sure he don't crossed the yellow line. At the same time, he was answering his grandson's questions. I wanted to take a photo of them, but i felt weird. Haha!
It's 5.20pm now, i am knocking off soon. Yeah!

Me: ellooo mr loh! Goodie morning! Im rho's new friend, mr patrick! Nice to meet you! Rest assure! I'll keep your gf accompany when you're not ard and make sure she works hard in the office! Ok, gtg! Goodie day! ;) Rdgs, Pat!
Darl: Hey pat! You this dick head look alike! Why are you standing on her desk! Arghhh!
Joke of the day -.- Yes, that's my darling!

Can You Dominate Your Niche... Even If You're A Latecomer?
Tuesday, October 06, 2009 11:27 PM
Who was the first to create online bookstore?
Who was the first to create the automobile (car)?
Who was the first fast food chain?
If you answer: Amazon, Ford and McDonald's... you're WRONG!
In the new book I'll expose the "first mover advantage" myth... In reality, a lot of first movers/pioneers end up losing their market. The advantage doesn't lie with being the first. In fact, being the first has some great disadvantages!
Let me give you a couple more obvious examples:
Who is the biggest search engine on the Internet? Ans: Google obviously.
Were they the first mover in the search engine? Nope!
Who is the biggest software company in the world? Ans: Microsoft.
Did they pioneer their software? Nope! In fact, they have pioneered none.
What does this mean? Well, it means GREAT news for you if you're a latecomer or if you're just entering a niche. If you know what to do and how to do it, you can start late and become a niche dominator.
One of the key to become a dominator in you niche is to have better marketing strategies. Almost all of the dominant brands in any niche have superior marketing. This also applies outside of business. Just think of Obama. His campaign has much better marketing, a clearer message (part of a marketing strategy) and he won.
Another key to dominate your niche is to be different. Taking Obama as an example again, he did so many things differently. He is black. He reached out to the masses for donations instead of focusing on just a few which was the traditional way. He reached out to the younger generation which was largely ignored. His campaign used the social media effectively which other politicians didn't, etc.
And if you think he is a pioneer, being the first black man to run for president, nope he is not.
Do you remember the class joker in your school? If you do, chances are because s/he was different from the rest of your classmate. People tend to remember people or things or brands that are different.
So, the question is: Are you different from your competitors? Are you marketing yourself/your brand better? If you're not, it'll be hard to dominate your niche.
More to come soon...
By the way, do you know the answers to the first 3 questions? Who were the first online bookstore, automobile, fast food chain?Labels: Others
Who says you can't be rich?
Wednesday, August 19, 2009 3:43 AM
By Lorna Tan, Finance Correspondent
It is an understatement to say that most of us strive to be financially independent. I'm no different. I dream of the day when I can say I'm working only because I feel like it and not because I have to. But we all know daydreaming won't help us to achieve our financial goals.
To a large extent, our attitudes and perceptions determine how we respond to and deal with issues. Suffice to say, a good attitude and a set of positive self-beliefs are prerequisites for any successful pursuit.
It is no different when it comes to wealth accumulation and money management. For instance, without the belief that we should take charge and be responsible for our own financial well-being, we will procrastinate and achieve nothing.
In the same vein, if we believe that everything is fated, we will take the easy route and blame our destiny instead of stepping up our financial literacy and looking out for opportunities.
Almost everyone knows the importance of money, but there are many who consciously or unconsciously limit themselves on what they can achieve because of their personal beliefs.
See if you can identify your money beliefs in the eight examples here:
Money is the root of all evil.
Money cannot buy happiness.
I'm married. My husband will take care of the finances.
It is better not to be too rich. When men have surplus money, their eyes will wander. My husband will become unfaithful and leave me if we become wealthy.
I'm a mother, so it is only right that the needs of my husband and kids come first. It's not right for me to think of my own retirement needs.
My financial plan is my husband/kids. Someone will take care of me when I'm old.
I'm hopeless with figures. They give me a headache.
The filthy rich usually get rich through ruthless or dishonest means.
Which of the above beliefs, many of which are self-defeating, strike a chord with you? Bogged down by such beliefs, it is no wonder that some of us can't even make it to the starting point because the motivation to be rich is not even there.
Another unpleasant truth is that most people are too lazy to be rich. They may say they want to be rich but they don't do much about it except to hope to become rich by chance.
Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with buying that lottery ticket or participating in a lucky draw. I still harbour hopes of getting a sudden inheritance from a rich, long-lost relative. But don't just stop there. Be realistic and realise that we must be prepared to put in the effort and make sacrifices.
The good news is we have the ability to choose our attitudes, behaviours and responses. This will lead to physical changes and result in us taking the right action plans to achieve our goals. A good place to start is to form positive mental pictures of who you want to be. Here are five steps to achieving financial success.
First of all, throw out any self-beliefs that stand in your way of making money. It is worth your while to take some time and explore your childhood memories of money. Doing so will help you arrive at a deeper understanding of yourself and your attitude towards money.
Second, ask yourself what you want the money for. It helps if you have an idea of what you plan to do with the money. This is because it is more meaningful if money is seen as a means to an end. Perhaps you want to enhance the lifestyles of your parents who slogged all their lives to bring you up. Or you may aspire to be a philanthropist and set up many charities and foundations to help the poor and needy. Ask yourself how you want to use the money to transform yourself and the people around you.
Third, instead of your old self-defeating money beliefs, adopt new positive beliefs such as:
It is okay to want to be rich.
I am worthy and deserving of prosperity and love.
I'm a mother but it is okay to prioritise my retirement needs and look out for myself.
If I don't look after my own financial well-being, no one else will.
Money is a friend, not a foe.
I can create my own financial destiny.
I am prepared to put in the effort to be rich.
Fourth, form mental images of where you would like to be in the future. A friend, who is a human resource consultant, often uses pictures in magazines to prompt his workshop participants to talk about themselves by picking a picture that best represents their mood or emotion. Being able to visualise yourself and your goals is a powerful tool.
Last, but not least, changing your mindset is not enough, so have an action plan to help you achieve your goals. Be diligent in acquiring more financial knowledge by reading up about money management and investing. Get professional advice.
You are now all set and ready to embark on a financially rewarding journey.

Micheal Jackson
Wednesday, July 08, 2009 3:54 AM
I remember Micheal Jackson as a plastic guy with all his eccentric actions and behaviours. But his life was awesome! He made a name for himself when he was alive! The well-known MoonWalk that many tried to imitate! Heal The World, We are the World which many had sang and/or are still singing on. He lived a king, he died a king! He is well-loved by everyone all over the world!
His departure came as a sudden shock to me as well as many all over the world. He was so ready to come back to stage. But just as everyone was looking forward, he left.
His memorial service is awesome! Everyone came together as one to pay their last respect, celebrating his life. And god, his daughter's speech made me teared! The spotlight shinning at the spot on the stage, just for him.
Though I am not his fan, but i look up to him for the impact he had created on this world. He is a great man actually.
Micheal Jackson, rest in peace.
With loves,
Rhowena ♥

My deepest condolence.
Friday, June 05, 2009 3:12 AM
Air France found, but no hopes of survivors. 'Black box', voice and data recorders of the the Airbus lying at least 3000m deep down in the Atlantic Ocean. But investigators hold little hopes of retrieving them from the deep and rugged underwater terrain. Everyone wish to solve this mystery of the tragedy. Everyone wish to know what happened, esp the family members of the victims.
Imagine the excruciate pain of losing someone and not able to see their bodies for one last time. Put it this way, you don't even know where is the body 'resting' at exactly...
`In the arms of the angels..
